Infrastructure
Three carrier-neutral core PoPs linked by protected wavelengths. Traffic stays on our network — no shared commodity transit between sites, no unnecessary hops.
Our interstate backbone links Equinix SY5, ME2 and NEXTDC B2 over protected wavelengths. Every inter-capital route runs on dedicated capacity — your traffic never shares a transit path with the public Internet. Within each metro, data centres are joined to one another by dark fibre (below).
Within a metro, Conxt links data centres to one another over dedicated dark fibre — strands of optical glass we lease and light with our own optics, rather than renting capacity on someone else's shared network. “Dark” simply means unlit fibre: because we run the optics on each end, every cross-site metro link is dedicated to Conxt — private, uncontended and engineered for the lowest possible latency. Between capital cities, those metros are joined by the protected wavelengths of our interstate backbone above.
Each PoP is purpose-selected for carrier density, cloud on-ramp access and low-latency inter-city paths.
Our presence in Equinix and NEXTDC gives you direct access to Australia's most interconnected carrier and cloud ecosystem — no extra hops.
